DID numbers

A Lithuanian contact number with a separate answering route.

Choose the public number customers will dial before deciding where calls should ring. A geographic Lithuanian number identifies a numbering area; the SIP extension or configured forwarding destination is where your team answers.

For sales and support, test ringing, two-way audio and the fallback when nobody answers. Our call forwarding guide covers route planning. Confirm the selected number's conditions and any onward mobile or landline charges before publishing it.

Number choice

Choose the Lithuanian number for the calls you expect.

Start with the caller's needs: a geographic contact, a mobile-number identity or a service number. Then confirm the exact offer, subscriber requirements and answering route in your account.

Number optionPurposeCheck before ordering
Geographic / localA fixed-number contact in a Lithuanian numbering area. Fixed series begin with 3, 4 or 5.Required location, exact number, subscriber conditions and incoming voice route.
Mobile offerA contact number from the mobile series beginning with 6.Required voice and messaging capabilities. A mobile-number label alone does not provide a physical SIM or guarantee application verification.
National offerA separately listed national-number option.Actual prefix, caller charges and supported features. Do not treat the catalog label as proof of a geographic or toll-free service.
Toll-free offerA service-number option for an eligible caller base.Exact access format, permitted caller networks, overseas reachability and charges paid by your business.

RRT's numbering overview distinguishes fixed, mobile and service ranges. Category availability and rental remain in the live price card; this comparison does not reserve a number.

Dialling format

Publish +370; keep the domestic prefix out of the international number.

Ordinary Lithuanian fixed and mobile numbers have eight national digits. International-format placeholders are +370 5 XXX XXXX for a fixed number and +370 6XX XXXXX for a mobile number. Keep the complete national number after +370 and do not insert 0 or the former domestic prefix 8.

Lithuania replaced the old domestic prefix 8 with 0 from 1 March 2025. Update older contact lists, website copy, email signatures and PBX dial plans. For public international contacts, use +370 followed by the national number. RRT explains the change in its prefix update notice.

A prefix change does not replace a test call. Check the exact format your SIP account expects, then verify calls from the networks your customers use. Test service-number reachability separately; do not infer international access from a toll-free or national label.

For an existing number, ask the team to confirm migration eligibility and a cutover plan before cancelling your present service. For outbound calling, verify the intended Caller ID and destination route separately from incoming forwarding.

FAQ

Questions before ordering a number in Lithuania.

Number choice, +370 formatting and the difference between your public contact and the device that answers.

How much does a virtual number in Lithuania cost?

The headline is the overall starting price across number types. Compare each category row, then confirm the selected number's rental, setup fee, usage and forwarding charges. The exact supplier conditions and required capabilities are shown in your personal account.

How fast is activation?

Standard activations are usually fast after availability and compliance checks. Regulated number types may take longer if documents are required.

Can calls be forwarded internationally?

Yes. Calls to your Lithuanian number can be routed to SIP, an existing PBX, a mobile or a call center destination. Confirm the selected offer and onward charges, then test the main and fallback routes. Forwarding an incoming call abroad is separate from whether callers abroad can reach the public number.

Are there KYC requirements?

Requirements depend on number type, country and use case. We check required documents before activation.

Should I write +370 0 before a Lithuanian number?

No. In international format, use +370 followed by the complete national number. The domestic prefix 0 is not included after +370. Check the dialling format required by your SIP account separately.

Can I still use the old domestic prefix 8?

For ordinary domestic dialling, Lithuania replaced the old prefix 8 with 0 from 1 March 2025. Update older contacts and dial plans. Public international contacts can use +370 followed by the national number.

Does a Lithuanian mobile virtual number include a SIM?

The mobile-number category does not by itself establish a physical SIM, mobile data service or support for a particular verification application. Confirm the voice and messaging features required for your chosen offer.

Is a National number the same as a geographic number?

Do not assume that from the catalog label. Ask for the exact prefix, caller costs, reachability and service conditions, then compare them with the geographic, mobile and toll-free options.
